As I mentioned in my annual recap post, 2015 was a big year for me! I did lots of stuff that I thought was scary, and it really paid off. 🙂  It was awesome, but I did do **a lot**.  One thing I really super don’t want to do is get burned out, so for 2016 my mantra is “Be Intentional.” I want to do awesome things, but I don’t want to go off the deep end and regret it. I want to have a really good reason for each thing I do, and I want to approach each day with meaning, instead of floating through it.  Outside of my main mantra, I’ve also chosen a few specific goals for the year:
New International Speaking Engagement
I’d like to visit a new international city via speaking at a technical conference. Â I love traveling, seeing new places, and meeting new people.
Release Architecture App (Kotlin)
Should I build my next app in @kotlin ?

I’m listening to my tweeps and writing an app in Kotlin!  I promised this Architecture app to my husband a few years ago, so its time I actually write it, I think. 😉
Release Expense Tracker App
This is my main app that I’d like to release for this year. Â I will be writing it as part of my Android Atelier study group I attend. It will be fun to have a group of people to hold me accountable to my deadlines, and to review my code.
Learn Thai Alphabet
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step… pic.twitter.com/EBU0jDaYCH
— Kelly Shuster (@KellyShuster) January 12, 2016
I have wanted to learn Thai for a super long time, and now I am finally digging in! Â I’m starting off learning the alphabet, so I won’t have to rely on romanization of Thai words as I learn the language.
Resume Ballet
Ballet classes went on a bit of hiatus, due to my traveling, interviews, new job, and holidays. I’ve also made a new deal with myself, that I have to complete my PT exercises during the week in order to “allow” myself to do ballet.
I’m looking forward to a healthy and action-packed 2016!
